All music on this album was composed by Jahan R. Nolley while studying at California Institute of the Arts between Fall 2009 and Spring 2013. The music is performed by other students at CalArts and recorded live in various concerts on the CalArts campus during this same period. The rawness of the sound reflects the tension between academic and aesthetic principles: a dichotomy all students of the arts must face.
